I wanted to post this topic where everyone could see... Sorry if it's in the wrong place. I
am having a werid problem with my webpages. Any image that is off the screen when the
page loads will not show up, unless you high-light the image area. I'm sure you could
understand how irritating this is. But I do know that the menu script is not causing the
errors, I disabled the script and the problem presisted. So...

Here is the URL: http://www.stand-upmriofatlanta.com/position-images.shtml

Any suggestions are welcome. Thanks.

What do you mean? The link shows you a page where the error occurs.

I don't think i understand what you mean by "off the screen"

The page seems to load just fine for me.

By "off the screen" I mean that any image that you have to scroll to see will not show sometimes. The
"images" choose when they want to show. Its very random so refresh the page a few times and you should
see what I'm talking about.

I can't see any problem with that page, no matter how many times I refresh it.
But I'm not an expert in this matter, just a regular but rather knowledgeable user.
The only problem that I see is that the bottom of the page, empty light purple bottom I mean, is too and unnecessarily long. Otherwise, it's just a page with funny photos of MRI positions.

I think this is what he is referring to:

Only happens with IE6 on XP as far as I can tell. I looked at the code and can honestly say I don't know what is causing it. I do know that all those <div align="center"> are not neccesary, maybe there is an unclosed div in there causing it. I think you should remove them and just add align="center" to the <td> tags.

What I want to know is if this tactic actually works:

code:
<div style="position: absolute; width: 0px; height: 0px; visibility: hidden;">
stand-up MRI,standup mri,stand up mri,open mri,medical systems,magnetic resonance
imaging,diagnostic,imaging,medicine,healthcare,hospitals,open,mri,Open MRI,scanners,
fonar,open-mri,medica,atlanta,georgia,GA,atlanta mri,mri,stand-up mri of atlanta,stand

resonance<h1>Stand-Up MRI</h1><h1>StandUp MRI</h1><h1>Stand Up MRI</h1>
<h1>Stand Up MRI Atlanta</h1><h1>Atlanta StandUp</h1><h1>Atlanta MRI</h1></div>

I got it, but it took me about 10 refreshes... probably has something to do with the way IE handles PNGs, I noticed there's one on the page. If not, it's probably just IE being dumb with its cache (as usual).

edit: it's most likely the cache, removing the PNGs doesn't help.

Here's something else to notice, I use a resolution of 1280x1024, If I change my resolution to 800x600 then
most of the images will not show up. So bascially it is not showing images that you have to scroll down page
to see. I don't think it is a cache issue. I deleted my cache and problem still presists. Any how I must find a
solution to this problem/cause. If you have any ideas please don't be shy. This also happens on other pages
in my site.

I'm using WinXP in IE6

BTW ~ The hidden DIV tag for searching, not sure how well it's gonna work. But i'll let you know...

We have done so.

It is some kind of a bug in IE6/WinXP.

A similar bug, made me finally switch to Mozilla Firefox. Whenever I view a page with many repeated images, IE6 refuses to show them. It also happens here at Asylum, for example, and just like your problem, it happens randomly.

In any case I would still take out the div align=center from all the td's. Simplification is an important step, at least to me, when troubleshooting a strange bug. Remove the possible causes one by one until you find the right one.
