Well, the real quest for me would be to find a site about my hometown that doesn't advertise about Bacchanalia and general mayhem, especially at this time of year.
Come, spend a weekend in the Big Easy and you'll never remember it!

The Big Easy Official Web Site
New Orleans
The Bourbon Street WebCam
Jazz Fest in April (highly recommended!)

Well if you want to visit you may want to start here

But for local news then this is a good spot

We've got two pretty good sports teams here. And two right across the bay (there's two other local sports franchises one having a disappointing dissapointing season and the other a suprisingly good one)

Othwise the best San Francisco Bay Area Website for locals has to be Craigs List I've gotten my last job and my last two apartments off here.

Interestingly enough Skaarjj, there's quite a link between Australia and Wales (Melbourne & Swansea in particular).
Way back then... (few decades ago) there was a mass immigration from South Wales, encouraged by cash incentives and guaranteed (?) jobs.

My parents [lost] a few freinds, including a wonderful family who settled in Melbourne, but who still maintain regular contact
In fact, they keep bugging me to come and stay with them, maybe one day, when I can afford the air fare, I'll take them up on the offer. (I'm sure little Jalen would love to see the world upside-down!)

Small world aint it!

I found the University and Derby itself a very enjoyable experience. Those four years of my life will be looked back on fondly.

I don't suppose you ever drink (or ever heard of) a pub called "The Captain Blake"? </shot in the dark>
