After seeing all the awesome stuff from last week, I was anxious to get in on the action this week. I plan on doing another one but this is what I've got so far...

I was just playing around a little with the "Image>Liquify" tool. It may have it's uses afterall. I dunno if Twitch is doing the thumbs or if I'm responsible for that but, I have no idea how to link a thumb to a fullsize pic in UBB code. Sorry for the big pic... if it is big anyway. If not, thanks Twitch.

Shi - Do you have any background on this picture? The first one was evocative but sorta generic. Before I start messin' with an image of a kid with "SS" tattooed on his head, I'd sorta like to know what I was messin' with.

Do you know anything about it?

Steve - This picture came on a free stock photo CD that VP has and it was fine to use it

I also meant to mention....if anyone has a picture they want used in a up coming week please icq or email me and we'll use some of your stuff

yeah shii i wanted to ask you who gets to pick the next pic ? anyone? casue i have heaps of black and white photos taken by my sista ... i was thinking of scaning a heap of them....and maybe use one for this ?

Heh....this isn't about me It's just something that started with VP showing me a pic he did and said ... wanna paint her? I did and we came up with the idea of seeing what others would do with the same picture. I would love to have any pictures any of you have that are ok to use and that you would like to see done. Feel free to icq me or email me with them. Or let me know you want to post the next one on Sunday and I just won't post one. Whatever works for everyone is cool with me.

I think thats a 55 Steve. I would imagine its a child at some kind of camp or orphanage where they are treated more like cattle than humans.

yeah, I agree with, krets. The top half of the first '5' is too angular to be an 'S' and it looks drawn on rather than tattooed, but that is a reasonable assumption.

Thanks Krets. I kept looking and looking at it, trying to decide 5 or S.

The last thing I want to do is have some sport with an image with holocaust implications, so wanted someone else to interpret it.

I hope you guys all know what I mean. The Asylum is sort of a club house, but it's still a public place. Imagine the distaste someone who lived thru a nightmare would feel if we were ....

My wife and I thought the "55" might refer to a triage situation; something terrible happened to a lot of people, but our subject wasn't badly hurt, and is therefore down the list a ways to be looked at.

I had seen the same thing Krets saw.

Thanks to Shiiizzzam and Weadah for helping me get this image done. I started the image, Weadah made a change using soft light and some color and I added it back to my original to get what you see.

Hey, Shi... was there any manipulation to this photo before you posted it? The child's eyes look... I dunno... darker than the rest of the pic? Am I on crack?

WoW ... this picture really caused a stir. Ummmm nothing was done to it that I know of.
It seems to do just what it was meant to.......stir up emotions and thoughts to create
