There's no color coding, but it does the trick.

Yup that certainly does this business I think the full version colours the syntax, not sure (gotta pay for it)
I've been using that for years .. is it still postcard-ware ?
Another nice editor we use in college is Textpad(.com), its great for java ,but it just colours anything in javascript in green which isnt very helpful (anythin the script tags is green), so nevermind that really ....

If you don't mind the download time for both the complete JDK and the editor, jEdit is a killer. It got me to quit using vi/vim/gvim after using them for almost fifteen years. Free download, lots of plugins, very good syntax highlighting, auto-indent and a lot more. www.jedit.org
