Anyone else ever had the Photoshop HTML help file and the color picker dialog box get tangled in some weird fight?

I've had it happen a couple of times and it's truly a bizarre puzzle, by the time I get Photoshop shut down from the task manager I had 15 help.htm source files open in notepad on the taskbar.

I was in the color picker and BOOM! just starts clicking back and forth between picker and the html help.

Didn't know where to post this, it ain't your classic Photoshop area thing. WinXP Home Edition and Photoshop 6.01...

I've not had that particular 'fight' you mention but I have had *fights* with the help file. Somtimes it just doesn't want to open and won't. Restarts reboots nothing. Give up go back a day later and it's fine... go figure. %-) Not much help... sorry.

I have had the problem between the colorpicker and the help files, I don't know how to fix it though lol. I don't think I have that problem since I upgraded to PS7 though, I only had the problem with PS6 on Win ME.

Just confirming for you, JK, I have also had the help file pop up for no reason; I think it was with the color picker. Seems to be some kind of bug, although it happens only rarely for me.

Couldn't tell you what to do about it, sorry.

Offbeat, roadside Texas attractions. (A little Google bombing doesn't hurt.)
