this months poem
"Lying on this couch,
Pinstriped red,
Sinking through the cushions,
Pondering what you said.
Wishing you were here,
By my side,
I've only told you this..
What? Two million times?
Dog hair spots the surface,
It's losing its appeals,
Slipping to the floor,
Loving how it feels.
Two years,
Wasn't enough,
The next two,
Are so far away.
I've thought 'bout it
time after time,
playing out the scenario,
Of that glorious day.
Lying on this couch,
Pinstriped red,
Sinking through the cushions,
Thrilled that you said,
"I'll miss ya boy,
I'll miss your smile"
And these words I replay,
Mile, after mile.
