How do I create a graphic which looks like X?

Its the question that everyone loves and it comes up all the time in various combinations and permutations. The simple answer is go and look at the object and think about how you would draw it and then come back and draw it!!

Once you've drawn it and if you aren't happy with it post it in the Photoshop forum for ideas and feedback.

However, over the years the question has been asked (where X equals anything you can imagine [wood, grass, tattoos, planets, etc.]) and usually answered. Here we'll draw together all these answers so the question will never need answering again (right and pigs might fly!!).
