Checking up on the Happy World Graphic Design Day post, expecting a party- I noticed there have been no posts in the Asylum (except spam) in 3 days! Is this it, the end of the run? Who let all the inmates out?

My, how the mighty have fallen!

Still here, patroling these abandoned halls...

VPs mop is gathering dust, and I haven't seen the Nurse in ages.

Stash of pills running low.

Occasionally, I still hear the crackle of electricity deep down in the basement, and what sounds like
muffled screams...so I assume that Master Suho is still...researching things... *shivers*

Seems to happen every year around this time. I think it has to do with the recurrence of Spring and people getting out for wild romps through the fields and flora (Hopefully with a Fauna).

I come and go. I read a lot more than I type. I would type more if I felt I had something more worthy to contribute. I still chime in with spurious postings when I'm in the mood.

It's nice to know there are others still floating around the forum, reading quietly.

Still here.

Been humping along in some really crazy directions lately. Right now I'm getting into waveletes (DWT) and JPEG stuffs (specifically DCT).

Every time I get the urge to sit down and write a series tutorials about the last thing I was working on, something new comes along and consumes my brain cycles.

I still check the list of topics in the QuickChanges most days, sometimes I miss a day or two, but I typically don't have time to post anything. I can't remember the last time I did anything web and/or graphic related... I have plans for something, just no time (same story as most I imagine).

Spending my days deep in .NET, trying to wrap up a couple releases at work, and at the same time come up with ideas for new projects so I have something to work on after the current ones wrap up.

Emps! Now there's an inmate I'd like to see here again.

Call me an ol' sentimental fool, I don't mind. This place has become more than "just a forum" to me. There are people who have walked these corridors that I really do miss. We may have not met physically and only exchanged the odd orange word or two but quite often that has been enough. Simpatico, an unspoken shared experience, a nod of acknowledgement from the spirit within us all.

It may seem churlish to name some of the people I'd like to see here more often but I will anyway This is just off the top of my head and is by no means exhaustive, and only slightly alphabetical.

Where are you:- Asptamer, Bodhi, briggl, Bugimus, cfb, docilebob, dms, Dracusis, Eyezaer, fig, Gilbert Nolander, jstuartj, jung, krets, kuckus, lasun, Mahjqa, Moonshadow, Moth, Norm, Pugzly, Ramasax, reitsma, RhyssaFireheart, Rinswind, Ruski, Shiizzzam, sib, synax, weadah, wrayal oh yeah, there's yannah too.

Hang on.... I'm sending out a search party for these dudes too, I miss them.
Amerasu, JKMabry, Lacuna, skaaarjjj, slime, Steve, Trib, wez, Grythus Draconis, Moon Dancer.

Having said all that...

I'm so glad these wise inmates are still around, I'm a better person for walking the odd mile or two with you fellahs.

WebShaman, DL-44, Petskull, Tyberius Prime, po1, White Hawk, Arthurio, Lord_Fukutoku, War J, Suho, Ian, redroy, Wolfen, Arthemis, CPrompt, Grumble, Blacknight, NoJive, hyperbole, Sleeping Wolf, reisio, twitch.

OK I bet I've missed a lot of people, but that's just due to my absent mind, not my lack of appreciation, and I'm only stopping now because it's late.

It's only natural, time changes everything, it's what you do with it that counts.

[edit] I keep on remembering more inmates to include....I'm stopping now else I'll never sleep [/edit]
