i dont get it, am i supposed to hit the people with the spaghetti?

so, either i am really bad at this, or nothing happens when you hit a person with the spaghetti.

When hit people with your noodle appendice, you convert them to Pastafarianism and see them handling some kind of sword. Be careful to not hit a priest of a nun.
